Teaching is inspiringThe South Australian Department of Education and Child Development (DECD) is offering their Aboriginal employees a supported pathway to gain a teaching qualification and teach in a SA government preschool or school.

The Department is seeking Australian Aboriginal DECD employees with a strong commitment and passion for teaching, who want to inspire the next generation for the Aboriginal Pathways into Teaching Pilot Program (APTPP).

The APTPP provides the opportunity for ten Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander DECD employees to be financially and professionally supported to undertake a tailored teacher education program at the University of South Australia while continuing their current employment.

Applications are now open and close 9am on Tuesday, 12 June 2012.
