MATSITI has been a five year (2011-16) program to increase the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people entering and remaining in professional teaching positions in Australian schools.

Developing strategies that enhance the professional and leadership capabilities of experienced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander teachers form a key component of the Initiative.

  1. Gday I am a aboriginal woman who finally finished teaching quals last year. Is there some sort of group or something as I am finding we a few and far between?
