Expression of Interest: 2013 MATSITI Project Evaluation
Archive only: Applications now closed
The University of South Australia is seeking responses from suitably qualified organisations to an Invitation for Expressions of Interest for an Evaluation of the More Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Teachers Initiative (MATSITI) Project.
Stage One of the MATSITI evaluation will include a review of project progress of the Initiative, refinement of workforce and training indicators to measure progress of future reforms, and recommendations for 2013 and 2014 Work Plan priorities.
The MATSITI 2012-15 Project Plan poses two key evaluation questions for the Initiative:
- What are the success indicators and targets for increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander teachers in Australian schools?
- How effective has the Initiative been in increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander teachers?
The evaluation will adopt a phased approach using qualitative and quantitative data.
An external project evaluator will also perform the role of ‘critical friend’ to work closely with the MATSITI Project Team to support quality of project decision-making during key phases of the Initiative.
