iPadA new project from the University of South Australia School of Education will utilise iPads to support a professional community of Aboriginal pre-service educators.

The project is designed to support their study and their capacity to integrate mobile technologies and other ICTs into their work as educators.

The community will connect pre-service teachers in four SA rural communities and in Adelaide. They will have the opportunity to engage with university staff and site based mentors in dialogue and inquiry with each other through a supportive online environment.

The project will enable knowledge to be shared within a social and cultural context and support the development of reflection and critical thinking.

The iLearn with iPads project is supported by the MATSITI initiative following a call for  expressions of interest for ICT-based collaborative projects in April 2013.
