Qyueensland DETE logoMurriTech is a pilot project by the Queensland Department of Education, Training and Employment Indigenous Schooling Support Unit  and supported by MATSITI funding.

MurriTech aims to ensure that every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander secondary school student in Queensland will have the opportunity to complete the nationally recognised 39239QLD Certificate III in Education (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander), as part of their senior phase of learning.

This program will focus on the promotion of teaching careers and provide multiple pathways for students to pursue tertiary teaching qualification, teacher placement and career progression.

MurriTech commenced in mid-2012 and concludes in December 2013.

See MurriTech workshop presentation by Project Manager Shannon Bowe at the July 2012 MATSITI conference.
